How to Make Crème Brulee Shots

A delicious crème brulee flavor in a shot glass makes this shot taste almost like a dessert.

Edit Ingredients

Servings: 1

  • Lemon wedge

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

  • 3/4 oz (25 ml) vanilla vodka

  • 1/2 oz (15 ml) Licor 43

  • 1/4 tsp heavy cream

  • Ice

Edit Steps

  1. Rub the lemon wedge around the rim of a shot glass. This will coat the rim with fresh lemon juice.

  2. Spread the brown sugar in a small, shallow bowl.

  3. Dip the moistened rim of your shot glass into a small bowl of brown sugar. This will create a crunchy brown sugar rim around the top of your shot glass and gives the drink its crème brulee crunch.

  4. Place the shot glass in the freezer to chill.

  5. Mix the vanilla vodka, the Licor 43, and the cream in a cocktail shaker.

  6. Add ice to the cocktail shaker.

  7. Shake the mixture until well chilled.

  8. Strain the mixture into the shot glass rimmed in brown sugar. Drink immediately.

Edit Tips

  • If you have difficulty getting the brown sugar rim to adhere, try adding a sweet sugar stick, also marketed as “petits batonnets sucrés,” to your shot. The sugar stick will make a nice garnish and will also make it easier to stir the shot ingredients together.
